I da " ho"

I honestly feel like I need a barf bag.

I want to shower, fumigate myself, or at least disinfect after reading today's news of another disgusting, closeted, vile republican and their sickening life of lies, hypocrisy and bathroom sexuality.

This slimey republican from Idaho was one of the most rabid anti-gay members of Congress...even voting against gay hate crime legislation, as well as civil unions, and allowing an individual legal medical rights to their partner.
How fitting that his career will come to an end as the result of a bathroom...just where sh*t belongs.

What is so revolting about creeps like Craig, Foley, Haggart and numerous other republiscum, is that they know they are gay, and have known their entire lives. And they KNOW it is not a choice.
Yet they advance a lie about orientation, while living a lie themselves.
So instead of living an open, honest, truthful, dignified life where they can proudly love the person they were meant to be with, they end up like some filthy cockroach in a public restroom with the rest of the creepy, closeted, old trolls.
And in the end, their pathetic lives lose dignity. Case in point.

And here he is...a self-loathing, pathetic old man cruising for tricks in public bathrooms...all the while preaching about, and voting for every bit of legislation that forbids gay couples to legally commit their lives to someone they are emotionally and physically meant to be with.
These old fossils are a product of their generation where being gay meant living in the shadows. It's a pity and a shame. What it comes down to is the stability of being comfortable with who you are, vereses the self-denial and self-hatred of the closet.
And what better way to draw attention away from what you don't like about yourself, and can't change, than to attack what you hate. Whether its behaving the exact opposite way a gay person is stereotyped as, or literally throwing yourself out there and verbally attacking that quality in others.

They make me sick.
The republican party makes me sick.

So, for advancing this ignorance, your hypocrisy, your lies, the rancid bile you spewed out along your path to destruction....you, Senator Craig, deserve everything you get as a result of your facade of a life.

Pathetic.

I can't wait for 2008...and watch the Republican party get exactly what it deserves.

Hell, I would vote for a chimpanzee before I voted for anyone who supports what the republican party has become.

Absolutely Disgusting.

Indeed, your rant was mighty. Good work.

How much froth and spittle got on your keyboard?

Mike, you are exactly correct.
These old fossils are a product of their generation where being gay meant living in the shadows. It's a pity and a shame. What it comes down to is the stability of being comfortable with who you are and the self-denial and self-hatred of the closet. It's not just the "old" gay culture of anonymous sexual encounters vs. the "new" gay culture of monogamy. All the more reason for civil unions and/or marriage. Both strengthen the institution, not destroy it.

Wow, Mike! I've only ever seen mild mannered office worker Mike, never attacking evil, super-hero Mike. Well done.

Now, tell us how you really feel... Seriously though, I was going to post something very similar to what you have said here. Great post. A lot of us feel the same way.

Jimbo alerted me to your rant. You are so right. I'm sick of these lame closet cases working so hard to prevent me from having the same rights as straight peeps.

When I heard the story on the news, I knew I could count on some colorful comments from you! If you strip away his political party and his hypocritical voting record, what he really is is a sad, lying shell of a man. To live a lie his whole life and sink so low as to engage in anonymous sex and than lie about it, himself and his life is totally pathetic.

Eight years ago, I witnessed how "the truth will set you free" when Mike (the writer of this blog) came out to his family. His honesty was refreshing and welcomed and he is such an amazing person. Hopefully Mike's niece and nephews will grow up truly believing that everyone is worthy of love and respect no matter what their sexuality may be.

OK - let's get a grip, and just a little perspective here, shall we? I'm not about to defend what Senator Craig has done. Yes, it's pathetic and deserves condemnation. But to paint the entire Republican Party with his sins is just as stupid and childish as saying that the Democrats are all pond-sucking scum like Ted Kennedy. Again - the propensity of left-leaning gays for selective moral outrage continues to amaze. If this had been a Democrat - we would be witnessing other party members and colleagues falling over themselves, along with the mainstream media - to defend or at least try to minimize these same actions. But since it's an EVIL REPUBLICAN - and everyone knows that all Republicans have sold their souls to the devil and are the focus of evil in the modern world - worse even than Hitler, Stalin, Bin Laden, and Pol Pot put together - well, we just can't have this - thus the feeding frenzy we are witnessing. Puhleeese.

Democrats are so much better on gay issues? Really? Just WHAT have they done for us, other than LIE to our faces to get our votes, and then stab us in the back as soon as they get elected? Evidently SAYING that you support the right things is good enough for most gay people. ACTIONS don't seem to matter. Bill Clinton gave us the Defense of Marriage Act and "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" -- The problem with that was that military commanders were given carte blanche to ask, and then expel gay service people by the HUNDREDS. It was OPEN SEASON on gays in the military under Clinton, and he frankly didn't give a shit. At least George W. Bush enforces this seriously flawed policy on BOTH sides of the coin, and has dramatically reduced the number of discharges based on sexual orientation during his tenure.

Now - if the Democrats are so damn great on "gay issues" and support the repeal of this horrid policy, WHY HASN'T IT BEEN CHANGED??? They have been in the majority in both houses of Congress now for almost a year. I guess it's just another example of SAYING the right things to appease gays, and then doing NOTHING to back it up. Democrats make me at least as sick as many Republicans do. They are all talk and no action - and THAT unfortunately seems to be good enough for many idiotic mind-numbed Democrat-supporting gay men who amazingly continue to believe their bullshit. And while we are at it - think about this: It's bad enough to put "gay issues" at the top of your priority list when picking a candidate (even if that candidate has no intention of acting on his promises). But when you consider that the Republicans have clearly demonstrated that they take the Islamic threat seriously, while Democrats are on record as calling it a "bumper sticker slogan" pushing national security down below gay marriage seems just a bit petulant, don't you think? I fear that millions of Americans may die in a nuclear attack before most Democrats wake up to the reality of the threat. That's really sad and pathetic. I'll single out Joe Lieberman as one Democrat I DO support, and who DOES get it - and what is his reward? Ostracism from his own party. Now THAT is sickening.
