My nights as of late have involved fierce on-line scrabble matches against this guy. So if the blog has fallen behind, you now know the reason. Last night's match was a total one of these.
However, there is controversy in the air!
Is "UNSHAMED" a fair word or not?
I know...I know...."unAshamed" is a word, but I gave this a try as well. It worked.
Surprisingly, the word can be found in the title of several pieces of literature. However, it is not found in the current dictionary.
The game is controlled online, so if your entry isn't a fair word, it won't let you play it.
I was allowed.
What do you think? You be the judge.
I mean really...as if 50 points even matter when the score is 287 to 171. *snicker*

Fair to say that if the game allowed it, then it's a good word.
Unshame on you! Win and the means will be judged fair, and it's up to the sanctioning body, not the players, to enforce the rules. Unshamed is clearly in the DB being used, and that is the only standard.
If you're running a marathon and no one sees you trip your opponents does that mean it's ok? Clearly if the judge didn't see you do it.. it must be! If you don't get caught due to a technical error or oversight then all is ok!
I'm sorry that you've lost so many games to someone with only a high school education.. but step up buddy - play Eye of the Tiger a little bit louder, be a man and don't cheat.
Else I'm calling your mother-
If it's in the Official Scrabble Player's Dictionary, it's a word!! I've memorized all of the two and three letter words. :) And I love finding bingos on my rack. :) We should play sometime!
I come from a long line of Scrabble champions. I could easily destroy you all. Can you say 'quetzal' on a triple word score?
